Senior Portraits

I was lucky enough to do some senior portraits for students graduating from the alternative high school where I work.  I really do enjoy these photo shoots!  It’s nice to get to know the students in a little different avenue than as a teacher.

Of course, my indoor studio that I had set up at the end of a hallway had to be removed because of construction.  That really messed with my indoor shots for the other two.

Then for the last shoot, we also had rain outside.

Nothing like a time crunch though.  They asked me about doing these on Monday.  I finished everything on Thursday to get them in the local newspaper.

I’m so proud of our graduates!

I’m sharing this with Weekly Top Shot.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday

This week the topics for Scavenger Hunt Sunday are:  season, colorful, weather, silhouette, and calm.

Season:  We just happened to play with our Santa hat today!  Myson is always a willing model.

Colorful:  This week, I enjoyed some colorful red wine while reading V. L. Locey’s book Of Gods and Goats.  I think colorful is a good description of it as well.

book and wineWeather:  We had a beautiful foggy morning last weekend, and I thought it made the pasture look beautiful.

Silhouette:  Does this count.  Our weather has been cloudy, and I forgot I needed a silhouette, so this is the best I could do, the silhouette of the farm in the very early morning light.

Calm:  If Bob were any more calm, he’d be dead.

Hope you have a great week coming up!

Tis the Season

It’s the beginning of the Christmas season.  I could find a couple of this week’s scavenger hunt items with a Christmas theme.  The items this week are numbers, purple, missing, bracelet and music.

Bracelet:  Okay, no way I could find Christmas for this one because I barely have jewelry.

Numbers:  Maybe I could have come up with a Christmas theme for this one, but I went for the easy one.

Missing:  I am missing the group for my group therapy.  I need my goat sisters. :-)

Purple:  I have a Christmas sled that my family made.  I admit I don’t remember who cut the sleigh out, but my mom did the decoration, and I filled it with lovely decorations.  Purple was one of the colors I chose.

I decided to take that book ornament and try it on the tree.

Music:  I have this adorable Christmas bugle that I decorated.

I decided to play with it because just the plain shot on the wall is pretty boring.

Tis the season for bokeh!

I love that Ashley hosts Scavenger Hunt Sunday!  I’m also linking to Mosaic Monday and Macro Monday.

Edit:  I almost forgot to tell you that my goat, Millie, is hosting a giveaway for two bars of our homemade goat’s milk soap. If you hurry HERE, you still have time to enter.
